Would it be possible to see some video content other than the mushers arriving in the checkpoint, signing the sheet and discussing parking with the staff? How about some shots of how the teams are running shot a 1/4 mile out of the check point at a minimum. The arrival procedure has surely been covered enough?

Have really enjoyed the videos tonight. Thanks for the interviews with the mushers and the analysis by Greg and Bruce. Wish we could have the helicopter coverage again!

Thanks again to all the crew on the trail.

I've been trying to watch some past races, but I've struck a problem. Watching 2009, but I can' t find parts 9 and 10. They aren't coming up in sequence, and if there's a search function I can't find it.

Once again I feel like I paid to see a ball game and all I get to see is the sidelines huddle and the locker room.

If at all possible can we see some more trail running dog teams? It is nice to hear a commentator talk about what the dogs looked like running but it would be much nicer to see the dogs running.

Even photographs would be nice.

Yes, that video of Rainy Pass and Wind Storm was the best yet!

Yeah! That is what I am talking about! The trail videos are obviously what most people want to see. How much "checking in/out" footage do you see in the vidoes produced after the race as a feature for the year? Unless they are just recylcing the past years stuff they must be shooting it. I would like to see more of it posted daily during the race. The Rainy pass summit video makes it about 1 percent of the footage posted as trail shots so far this year.

Those camera guys that sat on Rainy to get that video should get some kind of award! Maybe Redington could present them with it?! :)

Yes, I enjoy the trail videos & they do get some good ones, but I also want the check point videos, especially of the dogs coming in - so I can check what kind of shape they're in. Also like to see how the musher is - is he/she still awake & still sane? So both types of videos are informative & enjoyable. I feel they are doing a good job!

Yes, I agree. The interviews with the mushers are great for giving us an insight into how they are doing and what they are saying. The dogs, however are the real athletes and to see them running tells infinitely more and is much more entertaining. Doing a quick inventory of the video clips posted during the 2012 race shows that out of roughly 100 clips you could count 2 maybe 3 that show any appreciable amount of trail time. I fully understand that it is much easier and more practical to get shots at checkpoints , especially at night. I was just wondering if better than 3% would be possible.

...Seeing the dogs run into and out of a checkpoint is not an accurate way to gauge how they are doing as they can get much more animated just due to the fact that they are at a check point. As they are leaving a checkpoint they are not warmed up. to see them cruising along the trail is much more telling.
