We are rooting for you Paul and hope that you have a safe, fast journey this year. This could be your race. Great job on the Kusko and we'll be wishing you well all the way to Nome.

Update on Paul: Woohoo, go Paul go! Out there quietly doing his thing, he is running right in there with the leaders. Paul is such a nice person and so humble; we are excited to see he is doing well so far, fourth into Rainy Pass (according to GPS, but current standing show him fifth - whatever, he's right in there with Mackey). Maybe this will be his year to win it.

Does anyone know why Paul has had to drop three dogs?

Now that we've had time to absorb the sad news that our favorite musher is out of the race, I have to say that he handled the situation with incredible grace and acceptance. He showed concern for his dogs above all else. Seems like it is such a combination of things that determine how well a musher and his or her team will do in the Iditarod, and plain old bad luck is a huge factor. NEXT YEAR!! Looking forward to rooting for him again then.

I for one am so disappointed in all of Pauls bad luck. It seems it never ends. I so want for him to get a win. I cried when he didnt get it the year he scattered the ashes of his former lead
