I'm with you---GO LANCE! The man is amazing. He should be into Stepping Stone sometime this morning. The news, as of now, is that only one musher so far has scratched.

Last year Sebastian broke the recored and finished in 9 days. This year Hugh and Lance are running about 30 hour ahead of schedule! Hans has some illness in his team so I think he is out for top spot unfortunatly. Lance has said all year he is not going to be the one breaking trail all the way.

Hans is in the lead this morning, Lance not far behind, and Hugh bringing up the rear. The tracking chart the Yukon Quest has is a little hard to follow but it looks to me like Hans's lead is increasing every 15 minutes. Hans and Lance both have dropped 5 dogs and are running teams of 9 dogs. Wow! This is going to be close!

Hans Gatt is definitely increasing his lead. Looks like he's less than 40 miles from the finish and Lance is more than 5 miles behind him.

Looks like congratulations will be in order for Hans Gatt within the next few minutes, as the winner of the Yukon Quest. Lance will be 2nd and Hugh Neff 3rd. What an exciting race!!! It'll be fun to see the rest of the mushers come in. Two of them still have all 14 dogs, which I think is impressive.
