Just watched the video for the Sportsmanship Award and the announcer stated that Mackey was an inspiration to those around him at each and every checkpoint! And even at the White Mountain checkpoint he chose to visit with a bunch of school children instead of getting his much needed rest. What an inspiration! Mackey mentioned that he was setting himself up for the 'most improved musher award ' for next year! Go Mackey! :D
