Thanks. News about Jeff and the dogs has been coming out since he scratched. Glad to know they are all okay even if some kind of stomach complaint.
Lots of speculation about the dogs and their condition before coming into UNK. Interesting what people said about the differences in husky breeds. Apparently some able to withstand the cold much better than others.

I own a single white Siberian girl, Cody, 8 years old, but used to own between 12 and 20 in the early nineties and run races here in Europe. When I feel the urge I borrow 11 additional Sibes from a friends Kennel, who I work with during the winter and help train the new ones, and go for a two day ride in the mountains.

You're fortunate to live near kennels where you can help out & thereby enjoy the benefits.
I've had a lot of different dogs over the years, but I didn't understand how different the sibes & huskys were until I was lucky enough to live with one for 7 years. I didn't understand the term 'dancing with wolves' until then - Oh, how my husky loved to dance & tangle his feet in mine! What fun it was!
